Our Director of Eduction, works with your family to ensure that the best tutor is matched with your child. During in the in-home or online consultation process, we learn more about your child's academic history and their needs and wants in a tutor. Tutoring at the Elementary Level (K-8)
Early childhood development is crucial in developing a solid foundation upon which higher education is built. After working with one of our tutors, our students emerge with a clear grasp of reading, writing, and math fundamentals. Our tutors have years of experience working with students of all ages and create a fun, exciting learning environment, fostering an enthusiasm for learning which later evolves into excellent study habits and academic skills. Tutoring at the High School Level (9-12)
High school can be an overwhelming time for a lot of students. Even those with excellent study skills need help occasionally. We have an expert instructor for every subject, even at the academic or gifted levels. The Progressive Centre also offers test prep for American college entrance exams, such as the SAT and ACT. From simply raising a GPA to helping with college applications, we will provide support and guidance throughout students’ academic journeys. Tutoring Students with Learning Disabilities
Students with learning disabilities have special needs when it comes to instruction. The wide range of behavioural disorders and learning disabilities makes it necessary for special education to be tailored to each student. At The Progressive Centre, we are committed to providing tutoring customized to each individual student’s needs. Our tutors often work with you and often their teachers to meet the specifications of your child’s IEP, and can provide invaluable feedback about the child in a personalized setting.
Online tutoring is an alternative to in-home tutoring. Students will still be able to work with their tutor in an one-on-one environment. Tutors will facilitate online classes either through google meet or Zoom. Students will be learn in a secure environment that is free from security issues
How does your tutoring program work?
During your in-home or online consultation, a personalized plan will be created to close any knowledge gaps for your child. This program will be unique to each individual student. Once caught up, the tutor will pre-teach upcoming concepts so that the student feels confident during class time.
How fast can I start working with a tutor?
Typically, a tutor can be placed with a family within a week.
What about in-class work?

What subjects do you support?
The Progressive Centre’s highly qualified tutors can teach a wide variety of subject areas.
How often should I arrange sessions with my tutor?
Usually 1 or 2 sessions per week is sufficient, but this can vary from student to student. Depending on how your child is doing, we’ll be able to recommend a specific program during your initial consultation.
Are tutoring sessions held in person or online?
Both! Our tutors can meet with you face to face or virtually using our online tutoring application.
Does The Progressive Centre offer test prep?
Yes we provide test prep for a variety of entrance exams and standardized tests, such as ACT, SAT®, MCAT, and many others. Contact us to learn more.

Can I change my tutor?
Having the right tutor makes all the difference. At your request, we can adjust your tutor for you.
Does The Progressive Centre have a location?
No, all of our classes and tutoring sessions are held at your home (with an adult present) or at a location that is convenient for you.
How do you accept payment?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Debit). Payment can be done via our website through an active link. Receipts will be sent once payment has been received.

Yes! Refer a family to us and if they sign up for 3 months of tutoring, you will save 10% on any package you have.
