ATHI

Grade 9 Math Exam Instructor

 

  • Athi has been tutoring for most of his life, supporting learners from early elementary grades all the way to university-level students. Since 2021, he has worked with Progressive Centre, where he adapts his teaching approach to each student’s unique learning style, pace, and academic goals. His experience across diverse age groups has strengthened his ability to simplify complex concepts, build confidence, and create an engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.

Grade 10 Math Exam Instructor

 

  • Mahnoor has extensive experience teaching math, science, and English within the Ontario curriculum. She uses a student-centred approach, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and providing targeted practice to strengthen foundational skills. Her calm, supportive teaching style helps students stay motivated and engaged, leading to steady improvement and long-term academic success.

I’m obsessed with airplanes and can name most commercial aircraft just by looking at them.

LANI

Grade 11 Functions and Grade 12 Advanced Functions Exam Instructor

 

  • Lani enjoys helping students overcome their challenges and obstacles with mathematics. Lani does this by trying to understand the student(s) perspective of the problem, identifying the gaps or misunderstandings and then helping to fill in those gaps and clarify any misunderstandings. Lani has a PhD in mathematics from Carleton University and has been a sessional lecturer at the university and tutored privately part time for over 15 years to students from grade 1 to first year university. Within the Ontario curriculum, Grades 11 and 12 are her sweet spot. In her spare time Lani spends it with her dog, baking and doing Pilates.
